Explanation of the final invoice | Supershortlease Private | Supershortlease

Explanation of final invoice

After returning the short lease car, you will receive a final invoice. Is this not entirely clear? We understand that, because you don't see an invoice like this every day. With the following explanation, we think the invoice is already a lot clearer.

Let's go:

The final invoice consists of the agreement (you'll find this information at the top of the invoice) and the statement.
The agreement data looks like this:

The final bill consists of several components:

Rental

You see the period for which the rent is charged. The total number of calendar days is converted to terms of 30 days plus the number of days remaining.

Example: you have driven a short lease car from 11-01-2022 to 28-04-2023. That's a total of 472 calendar days. That's 15 30-day installments (450) and another 22 individual days. For each term (month and single days) you can see the amount (excluding VAT) you will be charged. Together this makes the total amount (excluding VAT) that is charged for rent for the entire term.

Mileage

By means of the starting and ending mileage, you can see how many kilometers you have driven with the car in total. This is offset against the number of free kilometers to which you are entitled for the entire term. If you have driven more kilometers than the number of free kilometers within your contract, these will be charged at the agreed amount in your short lease contract. The amount you see is exclusive of VAT.

Fuel

Did you return the car fully fueled? Then you won't see any fuel on the final invoice. May we refuel it for you? Then you will see the amount refueled, without additional (refueling) costs.

Pick-up/drop-off costs

If we have delivered the car at commencement and also collected it again at termination of the contract, you will be charged for the pre-agreed cost of transporting the car. So both the costs for bringing and picking up, you pay afterwards on the final invoice.

Other components

Further (agreed) costs can be charged for accessories, administration costs (when changing a car at the request of the customer), miscellaneous (e.g. cleaning costs if the car is returned dirty), excess if the car is returned with a new damage. If damage is charged, you will always find an explanation of which damage an excess is charged. These damages are also listed on the return form that you receive by e-mail after returning the car.

Subtotal and offset installments

All the components added together make up the subtotal. You have already received a monthly installment invoice for the use of the short lease car. The total amount of pre-invoiced instalments (excluding VAT) will be deducted from the subtotal amount. This leaves an amount that you receive back from us, or that you still have to pay.

Money return?

If no excess mileage, transportation costs, damages or other components were charged, you may get money back after offsetting against the installment invoices. But you may still have to pay a little extra, for example, for the extra calendar days not yet included in the installment payments (remember that you paid per month for 30 days, and on the final invoice all calendar days are charged). This will especially be the case, if you have been driving the short lease car a little longer.

Credit deposit invoice

For the payment of the deposit, you have received a separate invoice in advance. This is also credited separately after returning the short lease car. You will not see the credit of the deposit amount on the final invoice.

The credit deposit amount will be offset against any outstanding costs from the final invoice.
