How do you charge an electric car?

So your electric short lease car you no longer fill up with gasoline, but the battery has to be charged. There are large rechargeable batteries in it, which you have to supply with energy. You can charge the car at home or on the road. You do this through a charging station or a quick charger. You can even charge through a normal outlet, but that takes a very long time. Via a charging station is faster, easier and safer.

Fast charging your electric car

You can also go to a (public) fast charger. These are increasingly common along highways. Look carefully at the maximum charging speed of your car and that of the charging station. Fast charging is slightly more expensive than charging in, say, a residential area, but within 20-30 minutes your battery can be 80% charged.

The monthly short lease rate for an electric short lease car, is slightly higher than for a gasoline short lease car. This is because electric cars are more expensive to purchase.

This varies for each electric car. The smaller cars have a range from over 200 kilometers, mid-size cars about 300 kilometers, to over 400 kilometers in larger cars. This depends on the cars' batteries, but of course also on driving habits. The weather also affects the number of kilometers you can drive on a charged battery.

Depending on the type of electric car and the charging point, you can expect an average charging time of 4 hours before your car is fully charged again.
